I always forget that I have it. Trying to be more active in the future and less inward facing, but it's very very difficult these days. I'm about to become incredibly busy--so obviously now is the time to be more active! Maybe it'll function like an outlet.

Well it's time to go back to school! i'm sure this year will be full of happiness and rainbows and me and my friends will have all sorts of adventures.

school year's resolution; learn magic: the gathering, and then graduate with knowledge worth knowing. i'm having this godawful awesome fantasy art kick (like . . . for the past few months XD) which is primarily the desire to draw stuff from books. notably asoiaf, but also karen miller's godspeaker stuff (but only rhian and the cast from mijak) and a variety of d&d related things.

it's been a minute since my last journal, so i figured why not! I've been doing a lot of portraits of various characters, for like friends and npcs for a D&D game, but soon i want to start doing more challenging things. I've got a few things planned out . . .  it is a major confidence booster however to finally feel like i am getting somewhere! however i will probably go back to feeling like a hack soon enough, sometime around when school starts and i'm surrounded by badasses again, lol.

BRICK the BARD--this is important, fuuuck i've been putting it off!!
Dahlia portrait--a friend's char, she's a parlor maid bearing an enormous resemblance to Rosamund Pike.
Zhao Yuexiong--another friend's char, I want to do this one full body though, like an example of commission work. he is chinese 19th century indiana jones and i am so down for that.

actually it's been over for like a week now. i passed, that's all i care about. i've chewed through six books this week, lol! but i expect that number to go down especially since i am picking up brothers karamazov just to see why Iyasasa likes it so much, but lord that is a book you use to kill somebody with. books books books. it is now time to catch up on all the reading i have not read since being in school.

no other really fascinating news, i guess?

if i had to pick one, i would choose jacob, werewolves >>> vamps any day. Metaphorically vamps are already kind of standoffish, if i had to be in a romantic novel with a monstrous love interest i would not choose the one that wouldn't do me. werewolves, now that is an analogy for rampant sexuality if i ever heard one.
